Mamadom: Doing it all alone

Holy time flies fast. But now I have a newfound motivation to blog a lot more frequently.

Because my husband, a.k.a. Daddy, is leaving us for four months.

OK, don't go getting ideas now. It's because of the army. For those of you don't know, Daddy is in the Army Reserves. Getting sucked in working for the government in such times of turmoil as now can mean "signing your life away" as many fellow army buddies and families have said. And it deems more true than ever now. He went into the army back in 2002, then got called up to Iraq for four months less than a year later. That was before we met.

To clarify, on top of a full time job, when you're in the Army Reserves, you're the "weekend warrior," where you have drill duties one weekend every month. You're "reserved" for full time duty when the time calls for it. So this March 29, the time calls for my hubby.

I shouldn't be complaining I guess. At least he's not in active duty, which can mean leaving for around a year at a time.

Nonetheless, my children and I will miss him dearly, as I know he will miss us. This means blogging so Daddy can keep up with us. =)
